This isn't finished yet, but I'm ecstatic over how it's turning out.

EDIT: A couple weeks ago, I opened my sketchbook to this page and saw

G-G-G-GASP!

This was all smeared! *whines like a schoolgirl*

But it's OK, because the last couple days I took some time to fix it, and it looks good again. And it's gotten me interested in working on it again, so that's good. And I learned to keep my sketches in a less smearable environment, so it's a win-win!

Thanks. I took it with my iPod camera, but the final product will definitely be either scanned or taken with a decent camera. Depending on whether my scanner has had its daily dose of cookies or not. Yes, that's right. My scanner is intermingled with the Dark Side. It just doesn't like me for some reason...

Me neither! I really want to work on it right now, but I have a physics lab due and a religion test tomorrow, and a school band/choir concert tonight, so I have to wait until art class. But in art, we're doing utterly worthless critiques (not because critiques are worthless, I do value them. It's just that nobody in our class cares enough to give decent comments, or even any comments at all, so we just sit there for two days while our art teacher pulls info from us. It is truly a waste of time.) So hopefully I'll have some time in Brit Lit to work on it...

I think art classes in general are usually a waste of time, I feel that dA and its members and resources have taught me SO much more than I could ever have learned in school.

Yes, but I am enrolled, and I have already learned a LOT! But it's probably the only art class I'll ever get, so I'm going to make the most of it. Thank heavens it's an independent study (kind of... It's a VERY LOOOOOOOOOONG story...)
