I love helping to bring people's visions to life. Whether you see yourself as an artist or an entrepreneur, I understand that the key to your success lies in connecting with your ideal audience. The people who want to see more of what you do. The people who are willing — no, the people who are eager! — to pay for your work.

My goal is to help you find the audience of your dreams, and the most important part of that process is connecting with people. By building a relationship with the people who admire your work, you're building trust. And trust is what will convert a follower into a patron.

I would love nothing more than to see you take a step forward in your career by really diving into who you are and what your work means to you. Because, believe it or not, people want to get to know you. People are more willing to invest in you if they can see that you value your own work. If they stumble across your website, profile, or Twitter feed, and it feels like you're trying to desperately sell them something, they won't hesitate to move on.

But you can do better than that. You just don't realize it yet.

We can work together to ensure that every time your ideal client stumbles across you — whether that's online or in person — they recognize you, understand how you can help them (way more important than what you're selling), and feel your passion for your work. In order to be recognizable, you need a brand.

I know. A brand? Eww...

But a brand doesn't necessarily mean that you need to have a bland business persona. At its very core, a brand is simply a way to express yourself — across all the different ways that people can find you — in a consistent, aesthetically-pleasing, and recognizable way. And guess what? Branding can be fun! Because once you get past that initial "Eww!" reaction to brand as a business, you realize that you can brand yourself as a real person. You can use your brand to get people to know the real you, the you behind what you do, the person that people crave to get to know.

Once people get to know you, the real you, and you start engaging in conversations with them, you're on your way to building a more successful career.

And that's what I want for you.

Websites

A website is more than just an online placeholder. If done well, a website is an extension of your personality, the keystone of your brand.

Design

This is an intensive, collaborative process where we work together to design/redesign your website so that it fits your brand and has a focused purpose (whether that's getting people to subscribe to a blog, buy things, or whatever). I won't be satisfied with the website until you are.

$400+ depending on the complexity of the site. Payment plans are available and encouraged.

Content Management

Maybe you already have a website, but you're so busy that you don't really have time to keep it up to date. That's fine; just send me the latest content and I'll make sure it gets posted on schedule.

$20/hour, prepaid. Flexible contract periods, and able to scale to cover more/less content if necessary.

I have officially graduated from college with two Associates of Applied Science degrees: Web Programming and Multimedia Design Technology. I couldn't be more excited to get out into the working world!

If you ever need something designed — posters, websites, business cards, anything really... — send me a note! I'd be happy to do some work for you. I typically charge by the project (which amounts to roughly $20–30 an hour) but can also work within your budget. If you're concerned with the quote I give you, I'm more than willing to negotiate a fee that's fair to both of us.

Check out my portfolio for samples of my work!

My friend Stephonika-W-Kaye is working hard to give the Zelda community a true gem: a short film, made with all the love and care that their highly-skilled team can offer. But they can't do it all alone. Even though they're all putting in their time and money into this project, realistically the film will cost more than they can afford alone. They need the support of the community if they're going to be able to give us what we've all wanted for so long.

Films—even short films—involve a wide range of costs that cannot be avoided. Their fundraising goal is $40,000, with which they believe they can provide a stellar film. Here's a breakdown of how they're using that money:

As you can see, the team isn't making any profit. The entire team (not just the actors, everyone) is working on a volunteer basis, even putting their own money into the project.

Now, there's still time to donate to the campaign—which means you can still get the amazing rewards they're offering. And not only are the rewards great, but there's a lot of different levels, starting at just $5 all the way up to a whopping $3,000, which means that somewhere in there is the perfect fit for your budget. Here's the link to the campaign! There's a lot of other information there, if you even want to just follow along.

But perhaps more important than donating yourself, you can share this with your friends. Share it with people you know that love Zelda... People who love fantasy... People who love film. Share it on deviantART, share it on Facebook, Twitter... whatever networks you're a part of. The larger the pool of donators, the less each one has to give to reach the goal!

Disclaimer: This is a FAN film and is not affiliated with Nintendo. This film will NEVER be distributed at a monetary charge. Bleeding Edge will make no profit from this film. This will be FREE to watch online when complete. Any physical screenings will occur FREE of charge to each attending patron. A film by fans for fans. This article addresses potential copyright concerns.

Greetings, fellow Deviants!

I am excited to share with you a project that a friend of mine, Stephonika-W-Kaye, is working on: a Legend of Zelda short film.

Stephonika is a film director and script writer (and she's already literally written the book on Twilight Princess in case you want a sample of her writing). She has extremely high standards and won't rest until this film is done as well as humanly possible. But unlike writing a novel (which doesn't really cost any money, just time), film-making involves a lot of extraneous elements that can cost quite a bit. Props, costumes, makeup... the list gets pretty long.

Because of this, she and her team are currently running an IndieGogo campaign to raise the funds required to fulfill the project. I strongly encourage you to check it out and donate if you have the money—they have many great perks for donating and accept any amount; the lowest perk starts at just $5. If you're in a financial bind right now and can't donate, there are other ways you can help. For starters, you can share this journal, or head over to the IndieGogo campaign and share it on social media.

For those of you who are concerned about potential copyright issues, I want to point out that the project is entirely nonprofit, and all the actors and staff are working on a strictly volunteer basis. Nobody's making any money off of this. But even if Nintendo decides to shake its mighty fists at Legacy, there's an interesting fallback planned so you won't lose your money.

One way or another, this film is happening, and I can't be any more excited than I am right now.

Aren't you?

~Viv
